So in summary;
Sungol - 1 year ban - ban will be lifted if Ai receive $180
Mase - 1 year ban  - ban will be lifted if Ai receive $180
Steel - INDEFINATE - reduction of ban to 1 year only if Ai receive $180
Tegs - INDEFINATE - reduction of ban to 1 year only if Ai receive $180
Marek - INDEFINATE - reduction of ban to 1 year only if Ai receive $180

And i would suspect the ban would be for 1 year AFTER the payment has been recieved?

i dont think they meant a year from the date paid, just a year from the incident - which i suppose is arguable exactly when:

- if it was the qual that they qualified for then: 17th June, 2007.
- if it was the nationals they didnt attend: 28th/29th July, 2007 (which is around about the time Ai would have found out about it).
- if it was the date that corona officially announced the ban: 1st September, 2007 (stating: Effective 1st September, 2007, the following players from team iZM, have been banned indefinately from all Ai related events).
- or if it was the date when the bans were altered: 18 September, 2007.

Either way, its still 2-4 months AFTER the 2008 AINC nationals...

But im sure Ai will make some announcement saying that they have "reviewed the incident" and felt "times have changed", and it was "better for the competition" etc that steel/tegs be allowed to play, (even though tegs has ALREADY played in an Ai event - the nsw.css qual recently), just as long as they pay back the money.

They'll probably say steel/tegs have learnt their lesson... although they obviously havent. The only reason they're paying back the money (if they do so) is because they want to play cs, not because they feel they made a mistake and its the right thing to do, and not because of the negative effect it had on the community.

I'm sure they wont want to have Sydney Underground not have its full lineup as this AINC is supposedly the drafting/trial/thingy where the CGS lineup will get picked - will look pretty stupid and biased if a player who doesnt even play gets picked for the SU team. And if they let tegs play... well then they have to let steel play.

I guess we'll see what happens though, its in Ai's hand's now. In my opinion it will look pretty weak on them if they aren't able to follow through with their own bans and creates stupid precedents which will hurt them even more down the track. Do the crime, pay the time, is how it should be... whatever.

Well at least you can understand the situation from our point of view.  For the past 8 months we have actively been working with organisations to place bans on the IZM players;

They have felt the full force of the penalties and I believe they have learnt their lessons.

Tegs and Steel will be paying their share of the Stolen money - otherwise;
* steel won't be able to play qualifier #2
* tegs won't be able to play for SU in the AINC finals

Yes they did steal money.

And i don't see it from your way. A ban is a ban and if you want to be taken seriously than they have to miss out on the biggest event for the year as it was the REASON they got banned in the first place.

I don't know these players at all they might be great blokes they may be cockheads but they have to acknowledge that they fucked up and that this ban means they miss out on the biggest lan for 2008.

Plain and simple if you ask me coz if you try and ban anyone else again they will romp you (sorry michael.) But it's the truth see it from a MORAL side rather than a Oh it would be good for management side.

People and the community will respect you more if you enforce it rather than let it slide.

If they let a murderer go because he was sorry would he feel the effect of what he had done? No but if they forced him to do his sentence than he would come out and go I NEVER WANT TO DO THAT AGAIN.

Make them want to not do it again rather than go sweet well i fucked them over got a cgs contract and can do what ever the **** i want so next ainc finals ima break every pc and get a 2 yr ban and come back again coz we won and im in the CGS.

(bit drastic i know) But still i havn't even attended an ainc and i'm missing out coz some *** slut team got in made on the day who knows why they got it but they changed the ruleset or something again when we were told only 1 spot was available so the boyz just ran a muck had sluts play for us and people even went home...!!! and that pisses me off as it is especially when they are a slut team and their is teams out their who have had better performances and results (even than us say Mystery who had the chance for CEVO-i).

If i was in and i heard some fuckhead stole money had a 1 yr ban and came back and played the next year not serving his ban and i lost coz he won a round i would be absolutely ropable..

But i'm going to say this and probably not the smartest thing but. You have no back bone and are weak and for that it will be turned over because you can't enforce your own rules.

Sorry thanks it's been fun helping out with vex and khooy but get some balls and tell them to **** off their banned!
