S.A. CSS Qualifier - 7th July

The Counter-Strike: Source South Australian Qualifier for the Anything Interactive National Cup (AINC) has been confirmed and will be held on the 7th of July. The competition will be played as a standard 16 team double elimination with the first 8 teams seeded and placed on the draw in specific places followed by the following 8 teams placed randomly.

The qualifier will be held at the Arena, 264 Rundle Street Adelaide.

The competition will start on time at 9.30AM, this means all registered and participating players must be there prior to 9AM. The event will finish at roughly 7.30PM. Your more then welcome to bring your own Mouse and Mouse Pad. We will have staff on site willing and able to help you set and configure your computers to the way you need/want them.

Entry fee is $125 per team and TWO invites will be awarded to the first and second team. The first team will also receive plane tickets to Melbourne for the National competition held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Upon entry each player will also receive a Free Spectator ticket to the National competition being held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre as well as a "random raffle ticket" which will be drawn at the end of the event. The "random Raffle ticket" is for free, and will be handed out to every player which is registered and shows up to the event!

There is no reason why not every South Australian who plays Counter-Strike: Source won't be at this event. The Arena are providing top of the notch quality computers. By July 7th the Arena will have a full new range of hard ware and computers for us to use. The Arena is located in the middle of the city, on rundle street. A terrific location with plenty of food shops, clothes and easy access! There are multiple bus stops situated locally, and the Adelaide Train station is not far away.

With the list of prizes on board and our terrific supporters and sponsors, Exo-Computers, Steel Series, Gamerz Stuff and Austin Computers there is no reason why we shouldn't have a terrific turn out to this brilliant event!

Yep they are. I have just been informed of there line up. Was waiting on the 5th! So we now have penciled in, 5 teams, with at least another certain 2-3 who are just finalising teams, and with still 2 months to go! GREAT work!

unfortunately clanus is under the impression that by adding ghost to there lineup, they have 5 players. this isnt the case, ghost is playing for alternate, not clanus

Hi Guys.

Lippi has gone awol and I have no idea where he is lately.  Therefore, I'm transferring all event management aspects back to myself.  This means that payments for the SA AINC qualifiers can be made on the day.  Please ignore any prior arrangements to transfer payment to lippi.  If teams have already payed their registrations, can you please send me a PM.

I will be coming down to SA to run the AINC qualifier at The Arena cafe.  If there are any roster changes, please post in this thread.

Yeh.  You can take mouse, kb, mousepad, headphones.  I will have the CEVO cfg available for those who need it.  Other than that, no other cfgs are allowed.

I'd like to tell the SA teams that due to the increase of teams, we will not be able to fit the competition in the 10 hour timeslot.

There's nothing to panic though - it just means that the competition will run longer than expected.

I'm currently working with The Arena to try and secure 30 pcs for the first few hours - and use 20 pcs after 1pm.
